Post-Fast Log: One Month Later

POST-FAST LOG: 1 MONTH LATER
One month after the final day of my 5-day post-fast (which immediately followed my 10-day water fast), the scales showed this morning that I’ve gained back 9.6 lbs., leaving me at 133.0 lbs., or a net loss of 11 lbs.! Most of that weight gain is lean muscle mass! Yes, fasting left me so pumped with energy I was inspired to hit the gym to start pumping iron!
My energy level waxes and wanes as a result of my workouts. So does my mental clarity. Overall, I feel much stronger and tighter. The bags under my eyes return once in a while but I haven’t figured out yet what causes that. Best of all, my posture is near perfect again, which it hasn’t been since my early college years!
My diet is still mostly raw foods and no alcohol. Breakfast is usually fresh fruit, lunch a garden salad with no dressing, and dinner typically rice and fish or chicken. I also like to snack on popcorn. I still drink about two liters of tap water or green tea per day. Other than that, I still occasionally indulge in Diet Coke, strawberry ice cream, and Big Stick Popsicles. (Maybe those things cause my eyes to puff up?) Anyway, I’m very happy with the continuing improved health and beauty effects of my fast in July and look forward to the next one probably in February next year!
